We Should Always Be ThankFul For What We Have!!!!

by wendy bird on 12/08/10

Last night I was on Facebook and was checking on my friends pages to see what was new with everyone and much to my suprise my friend Lesley's home had burned down.  As if that is not bad enough I was heartborken to learn that although the humans where not home that her two personal pets were in the home and died the smoke over came them.  I just can not beleive that Zaci which I have had the pleasure of meeting and Hoti her new girl which I had not has the pleasure of meeting yet where gone.  Lesley lost her home and her two beautiful German Shepherd girls that where much like her very children all I could do was cry.  I then thought of when myself and Jennifer went to Kentucy to meet Lesley and her wonderful pack of beautiful German Shepherds how friendly, obediant, and just breath taking their beauty everything one would love in a life long companion.  This happened before Thanksgiving,  we as people often do not give thanks for what we have,  good health, jobs, healthy children, wonderful family and friends the roof over our heads you get the idea.  We often want more and really never say thank you for what we have right now.  I guess I am saying we all should give thanks for all that we have and prey for those who have it worse then us.  Lesley, I am truely sorry for the loss you have suffered with your home gone and your 2 best friends passing.  God Bless you and your family you are all in our prey's here.

MENTORING- WHAT IT REALLY MEANS

by wendy bird on 06/18/10

MENTOR: A trusted friend,  counselor or teacher, usually a more experience person.  Some professions have "mentoring programs" in which newcomers are paired with more experienced people, who advise them and serve as examples as they advance.

Today mentors provide expertise to less experienced individuals to help them advance their careers, enhance their eduacation, and build their networks.  In many different areanas people have benefited from being part of a mentoring relationship.

Please feel free to put your input in on this and what a mentor means to you.  I know what it means to me, both to have one and to also be one.
